		SSDI has outstanding capabilities in the field of micro-drilling. These capabilities are realized through the automated systems designed by SSDI while incorporating the non-contact, clean and high accuracy of Excimer laser technology into our proprietary systems. Through our automated process a large variety of polymers can have precise, clean, burr free holes placed in them without adversely affecting the quality of the product. Hole sizes can range from .0005 to as large as .060, with smaller or larger sizes available upon request. These holes can be made with custom shaped geometry in a wide variety of configurations while leaving the braid in the polymer materials intact. These configurations can be held with excellent accuracy and repeatability by utilizing SSDI’s fully automated and multi-axis positioning systems.
